How to create a folder
  1. Click Folders on the main navigation bar.
  2. Click Create New Folder.  A window will pop up.
  3. Enter a name for the new folder in the Name new folder field.
  4. Click OK when finished.  Your new folder will be listed below your default folders (Inbox, Sent, Trash, and Spam).

How to sort mail within a folder

  1. Click Folders on the main navigation bar.
  2. Click the Folder name to open the folder and view its messages.  By default, your email account will sort all folders by date in chronological order (an upward arrow).  You can sort your mail by From, Subject, Date, and Size.
  3. To sort your mail alphabetically by sender's name, click From.
  4. To sort your mail alphabetically by subject, click Subject.
  5. To sort your mail by when it was received, click Date.
  6. To sort your mail by the size of the file, click Size.

How to select mail

  1. Click Folders on the main navigation bar.  (Click Inbox if the message that you want to select is in the Inbox)
  2. Open the folder that contains the message you want to select (How to access your mail).  You will see a list of all your messages within that folder.
  3. Click the checkbox next to the message you want to select.
  4. Click Select all to select every message in a particular folder.

How to delete mail

Click Delete to delete an open message.

To delete one or more messages in an open folder:

  1. Select the message(s) you want to delete.  (How to select mail)
  2. Click Delete.  Selected mail will be moved to the Trash folder.

To permanently delete all of the mail in the Trash folder:

  1. Click Folders on the main navigation bar and open any folder.
  2. Click the Empty Trash link.  This removes all mail in the Trash folder out of your mailbox.

How to search your mailbox for a message

  1. Click Search on the main navigation bar.  
  2. Set the conditions for the search by entering values into the Find messages where and the word or phrase fields.
  3. Use the Look in Folder drop down menu to select the folder you want to search.
  4. Click Search.  A list of all messages that meet the criteria will appear.

How to move mail between folders

  1. Click Folders on the main navigation bar.
  2. Click on the folder that contains the message you want to move.  (How to access your mail)
  3. Select the mail that you want to move.  (How to select mail)
  4. Use the Select Folder pull down menu to choose the folder you want to move the mail to.
  5. Click Move.

How to rename and delete folders

To rename a folder.

  1. Click Folders on the main navigation bar
  2. Click the Rename link located to the right of the folder you want to rename.
  3. Replace the current name of the folder with the new name in the Rename folder field.
  4. Click OK.  Your newly titled folder will appear in your folder list.

To delete a folder.

  1. Click Folders on the main navigation bar
  2. Click the Delete link located to the right of the folder name.  A confirmation window will pop up.
  3. Click OK if you are sure you want to delete this folder.  Your folder will disappear and its contents will be sent to the Trash folder.  The contents will remain in the Trash folder until they are deleted.  (How to delete mail)

*Note:  The Inbox, Sent, Trash, and Spam folders cannot be renamed or deleted.

How to sort incoming mail using filters

Filters allow you to keep your Inbox clean and block email from unwanted addresses.

  1. Click Options on the main navigation bar.
  2. Click the Block Filters link.  Your current list of filters will appear.
  3. Click Add Filter.
  4. Set the conditions for the filter by completing the If-Then statement.
  5. (Optional)  Click Match Case to enforce case sensitivity.  If the box is unchecked, the filter will match the phrase regardless of what case the text is.
  6. Click Add Filter when you are finished.  Your new filter will appear in the Filter Description list.

How to block Spam

Use our Bulk Mail Handling feature to direct mail that is sent as part of a mass mailing to your Trash or Spam folders.

  1. Click Options on the main navigation bar.
  2. Click the Bulk Mail link.
  3. Specify the destination of your incoming bulk mail by selecting either your Trash folder, Spam folder, or your Inbox.
  4. Click Save.

Report Spam and abusive emails to Everyone.net.  Please do not delete the email.  Send us a copy of the email and header information to abuse@everyone.net.

If the email message includes a serious threat to a person or a person's property, constitutes a violation of a restraining order, or violates the law in some way, we will work in conjunction with the authorities to determine who sent the abusive message.
